Hi Ladies great to see some good additions to the thread..Thanks a lot for all your contribution

So i was doing research about natural ways to boost fertility and I came across this information about fertility juice cleanse and it seems you can start the juice cleanse right after menstration and looks like It has loads of benefits like detroxification of the liver..elimination of excess hormones that cause imbalance, promoting uterus health and all that good stuff which essentially boost fertility

I thought why not give a try..it doesn't hurt as it is natural..and i have nothing to lose..if it doesn't work , atleast it will do some good to my body ..so i am planning to do a juice cleanse for 3 days starting from tomorrow..

From what i saw online, you can mix varity of fruits and vegs for juicing

here is a sample recipe:

Small Ginger root
1 pear
2 small cucumbers
3 stalks celery
1 apple
1 sweet potato

Great info ladies, I love it! So far in my TTC, I have only been willing to try natural things to up my chances, it's good to know others are trying the same types of things!

I do soy isoflavones, as I have PCOS and don't ovulate every month. Be careful westfall if you use them, just do your research to help you decide, some people say that if you ARE ovulating, soy iso's can mess with that! But they've been good for me, I am O' ing monthly now, and earlier than my normal day 25-30. I also do the common supplements (evening primrose oil, vitamin B complex, aspirin, prenatals, and FertiliTea).

Here's my addition to the conversation: try imagery and meditation! If your body isn't working right, you'd be amazed at how much can be helpwd by a combo of meditation, relaxation, and imagery (meaning visualize your body doing what it should be doing). I do the Circle & Bloom PCOS for fertility series, and I really like it. Check them out, it's a but spendy, but they have lots of different fertility series that might be worth a try if you want to stick to natural stuff! Like you all said though, keep the posts coming, I love hearing all the ideas!

mycutie: thanks for sharing your fertility juice recipe sounds very good for your body in any case!

roccoboxr: thanks for the heads up about the soy, I did read that they could possibly delay or stop O which worries me a lot, but I figure that I will try them for this month and if I dont get a +OPK I wont try them again. and you are dead on about the visualisations, Im personally into yoga and this month switched from my traditional flows to fertility ones. people forget how much the mind is connected to the body and yoga/meditation allows you to reconnect.

I also found another natural fertility trick (not sure how well it would work, might just be a wives tale but it cant hurt) apparently for 1000s of year in China and India women have been told to use cinnamon and honey to help conceive! They say to take a tablespoon of unpasteurised honey w/ 1/2 tablespoon cinnamon twice a day and then rub honey on your gums throughout the day.

Im giving it a try but I think that I will give the rubbing honey on my teeth a miss as it seems like just asking for a mouth full of cavities!

What a great thread.

I have nothing extra to add, but wanted to say that I do believe in positive thinking and visualisation. Now this is coming from a woman, who has been mainly negative from CD1-CD6/7. But it just takes me time to revamp for Oing.

I was recently on a course and the evidence shows (I'm sorry I don't have it to hand) that if you rehearse negative situations in your head, you cause your body to stress about them if they come to pass. To understand, think about those dreams you have when you are falling and your body sends a shot of adrenaline through your body as it expects to the ground. Your mind truly believes you are in danger therefore it reacts.

So...in relation to TTC, I think that if I have too many negative thoughts on TTC and pregnancy by body will believe all of it to be stressful, however on the opposite side if I rehearse positive stories in my head, my mind thinks 'Oh I've done this, I can do it again'. Therefore WHEN I fall pregnant my mind shouldn't automatically go to stress setting. Instead my mind has been tricked into thinking that I've already been here and copes well.

So I take 10mins a day to lie, relax and rehearse conception in my mind and then pregnancy and labour. For me it gives me hope, because I have seen myself changing my babies nappies, giving birth, buying a car seat while pregnant.

I know this may sound crazy, but the evidence given by the course leader that day was compelling. Sorry for such a long post.

Westfall, the thing I sort of "like" about the soy iso's (this its my first cycle, I'm trying to postpone clomid) is that I can FEEL myself ovulate! Literally, like an aching dull cramp building for several days that I've never had before, so it's like I can feel that my body is finally doing something I'm so hopeful for this cycle!!!! Trying super hard not to test until I'm 14 dpo and trying not to symptom spot, while at the same trying to stay positive... The meditation CD's help a lot, relaxing and calming right when I need it
