Just need some reassurance

This is my first month on Clomid, am on 50mg days 2-6. Today is day 17 so potentially 3 dpo. I've started bleeding. Not heavy but enough that it's not just when I wipe. It's quite red, unlike spotting which is usually dark brown.

I've also just noticed that I'm getting mild cramp-like pains across my stomach at about hip height. Kind of like mild period cramp or hunger pains - which it's not cos I had dinner and I don't actually feel hungry.

I just feel really upset that my body is, yet again, doing something I'm not prepared for and my man is on nightshift so he's not here.

Is it likely that this is ovulation? In which case is it late? I had follicles at 16mm and 11mm when I had my scan on day 12... We've had sex cd 10, 12, 14 and 16. I hate doing it when I'm bleeding but would it maybe be better to try tomorrow as well just in case?

I hope that you are doing ok or have found some answers somewhere - I'm afraid I have no idea as I'm about to start my first month on Clomid too. Feels like I'm about to get on a train and I have no idea where it's going!
I'm still learning, like you, to get a handle on how my body is just going to do its own thing until its ready. I've just had my five days of progesterone to bring on a period, but lo and behold, my body decided to only have a hint of spotting. Finding it hard not to feel a bit let down too -
Perhaps there might be some answers on the threads here for you? I'll let you know if I find anything.
Stay positive, do something nice for yourself and know that it'll all work out soon

Thank you for your reply. I've been reading the "random bleeding" type threads but can't really find anything. I'll keep looking.

My body has just been totally out of whack since we started proper fertility clinic stuff. I had a 3 month gap over xmas where I just didn't bleed, I've been spotting mid-cycle, I just feel like every month it does something different to completely throw me on what I think "normal" might be. Thankfully I've been charting my temp so I know it has gone up which is making me think I have ovulated but my day 21 blood test will tell me that for sure...it's still another 4 days away plus the wait for the results.
