New to TTC & OPK

I m new to this forum.. just TTC my first child since 3 months.. Doc said i
might have PCOS since i m having lot of facial hair after i stopped my birth
control pills & my cycles took time to become regular but she wanted me to
try naturally before giving me Clomid.

So i bought Clear Blue digital test 2 days back & tested this mrng (CD 16 - my cycles are 29 days) .. Guess what my first test & it was a Smile

Are these smileys accurate ?? Did you guys got pregnant the month u got Smiles or does it take few months along with other factors ? Please share your experience. Also should i still test tomorrow & continue testing or i should stop testing for this cycle ?

I will put my hubby to work tonight & hoping the best Wish me Luck & please

I am new too - have been TTC since Feb.
I am CD12 just started using OPK (also using clearblue digital) but no smiley face yet

I think you are supposed to stop testing once you get the smile.

welcome to bnb

A smiley in OPK means it detected a LH surge and you'll probably ovulate in the next 24-48 hours and means you'll be ovulating soon. I chart my basal body temperature also. Your temperature will usually rise after ovulation (it is just for confirmation).

Thanks a lot.. I checked 2nd day for curiosity & did not see the Smily ... and I did observe shift in my body temp but not much (< 1). Is that what indicates that i ovulated ? Anyways will wait & watch.. hoping for my BFP soon. Good Luck

Are you using any site for charting?

I find www.fertilityfriend.com is useful. You can put in your info there and it helps you check if u've ovulated (think 3 consistent high temperature?)

I did use the above Fertilityfriend.com but it says no ovulation detected as yet

May be i will check my temp tomorrow & feed in & check results again. It says i will ovulate from CD 16 to CD 18, how from OPK i didnt get any smile ... Confused !

make sure you don't test with your first morning urine.
supposedly it's best to test twice a day (after 10am..... and another in the evening time.. ~7pm)

I only test once a day in the afternoon time. I was worry that my urine would be diluted cuz I went at around 10:30am... and drink like 2 glasses of water... and decided to test at around noon. Got a smiley. :P

did your check ur cm?

for fertilityfriend.com.. it won't usually show until 'AFTER' you've ovulated. I think it thinks u've ovulated when you have 3 high temperatures above your coverline.

Fertilityfriend.com now shows i ovulated on CD16.. i am 8DPO ... temps been on higher side.. praying Mother Nature does the magic & it turns out to be BFP this month... AF due on 24th.. wont be testing until 24th... Baby dust to u

oh good. FF showed I Oed on CD16 as well.. but i'm 3dpo and AF due on 28th.
