ready to give up

I never post sad mopey post but I am just beyond irritated! Sorry I am venting its just that I have found out in the past 2 weeks that 4 people are pregnant! And they are careless teenagers that arent even trying! I have been ttc for 4 months and I never thought it would be this hard to get pregnant! I am well ready for a baby. I am 23, DH is 26, we have our own house. Today is actually our 3 year wedding ann and we are financially stable and ready to start a family.

I am just worried that we aren't able to BD at the right times. Unfortunately I work night shifts from 8pm to 8am. I am on a rotating schedule like work 2 nights, 2 nights off, then I work every other Fri, sat and sun night.
Last month I got my +OPK on a Friday (CD19) and of course I was working all weekend. We BD'd on Sat and Sun following my +OPK after 2pm. Of course AF showed up.

This month I got my +OPK on last Friday (CD15 which was early) and it was a weekend I was working.

~Thursday the day before we BD'd at 5am (random wake up in the middle of the night sex)
~Friday +OPK but couldnt BD because of work schedule
~Saturday BD'd at 9:15am with preseed

I am just hoping this is our month. Do any of you ladies know anyone that conceived by BD'ing the day after a +OPK. I know Thursday may count but it was so early on Thursday, 5am.
I just need some encouragement and motivation.

To me the timing looks good I think with OPKs you ovulate 24-36 hours later so from BD thurs and sat there should be spermies their to meet an egg. As sperm can last 5 days in the right environment.
Good luck FX

You definitely could have caught that eggy hun! I know it can be super frustrating when AF shows month after month, but most young healthy couples conceive within a year. It'll happen!!

sounds good to me!! ive been on forums where women bd two days before OV and not at all during or after and still go on to get !!

i too have seen 4 babies born in the last two weeks, all to siblings or friends.......so happy for them all but after 4 cycles and nothing myself it gets hard!

all i know is it will happen when the time is right............and that the baby will be the most precious gift i could ever be given!!

Thats true. I guess I just thought it would happen so much sooner. I love this website though because I have my own online support system! Some things DH just doesn't understand. How long have you been ttc? How old are you and DH?

I completely understand the feeling like you can never BD at the right time. I work full time 3-11pm and work every other weekend. I have a set schedule so I have off every other weekend, and when I work weekends I'm off Friday/Tuesday or Thursday/Monday. I have been working a lot of overtime, not because I signed up for it but because there is just too much work to get done in 8 hours. My hsuband works 7pm-5:30am Tuesday-Friday and is off every Sat, Sun, Mon. We have very few days off together and they always seem to be days that probably wouldn't count.

We have only been actively TTC for about 2 months. I am already so stressed and exhausted because of work that I feel like I shouldn't even be TTC. I don't know what to do.

Thanks! That gives me a lot more hope. Yeah it's lilke all of my friends are pregnant, just had a baby or pregnant with their 2nd. One of my friends is pregnant with their 4th! I am just like, I just want at least 1! I have 3 younger cousins ages 18, 19 and 20. The 18 and 19 just found out they are prego and the 20 just had her second baby! Of course I worry about if we are able to have babies, what if I'm infertile, what if DH is? There are just so many questions I have.

You are completely right it will happen when the times is right and when God is ready to bless us with a baby.
