New with Questions

Hello, my name is Courtney and I just joined babyandbump! I am currently TTC my first child and I have some questions...

My last period was on Feb 6, 2012. I havent always been regular, in fact up until Dec of 2010 I was pretty regular. I went through a difficult time in my like during the months of Jan 11-May 11. My doctor at the time prescribed me some birth control pills that would regulate me. I started the pills in Feb of 2011 and by June 2011 I stopped taking them. My periods were back to normal. Now lets fast forward back to what I began talking about. Okay, so I had my last period on Feb 6, 2012. I missed ALL of March and now ive missed April. For the past two days I have had some spotting. The spotting is described as very clear discharge with ribbets of pinkish brownish twinges in it. Dark blood? No, just spotting. I didnt have cramps at all and the spotting didnt hurt anything (down below). I guess I am just confused...I want to know what is up with this body of mine and if I have conceived. I have felt some dizziness certain times of the day, and also some naseau spells, where I literally could throw up. After missing my period in March, I did wait a couple of weeks to test, and it was a BFN. I spoke to a nurse at the hospital on the phone and she told me that I may have gotten pregnant at the end of March....so to spare my feelings I want to know has anyone ever been through this, were you pregnant, and/or when should I test?

I am happily married and I have a wonderful support team.

Thanks so much for reading! Sorry if it was long and boring!

Using what I've learned so far on B&B I think your spotting may be one of three things. It could be related to Ovulating, Implantation or possibly related to BDig if you had recently dtd.

If it is implantation spotting, you could be preggers. fx'd you get the answer you are looking for.

It could also be a withdrawal bleed like the kind you get on birth control. When I came off the pill, for awhile I had a few days of very light spotting instead of a real period. If you are really interested, I would go to the doctor for a blood test or ultrasound to see what's going on down there.

There is a lady on another thread that I chatted to that didn't get her BFP on a HPT until she was 12 weeks. It would be well worth visiting your Dr and getting them to do a blood hcg test. FX's for you!

A withdrawal bleed occurs when you don't ovulate and is what happens on birth control, but it happens all the time to people who aren't on birth control and haven't been in a long time. But not wanting to seem like a downer, I personally think your symptoms are promising for pregnancy and you should go to a doctor. Some people never test positive on a pee test and if there is something else causing the strange bleeding, your doctor can pinpoint that.
