It depends on your cycle. If you have a 28 day cycle, start testing on cycle day 10. Just add or subtract depending on the number of days in your cycle

Do you have to take something to ovulate as well?

I would say day 10-ish. That's usually the earliest anyone really needs to start testing.

I usually start between cd8 and 10. Started on cd8 this month and got a +opk on cd10, way earlier than I've ever gotten a +!

I usually start around CD7 and just keep testing until I get a +opk. I use those wondfo strips too, and I buy mine in packs of 100 so it doesn't really hurt my wallet too much if I use too many strips in one cycle. Are you also charting your temps or cm?

The more you can chart, the better it will be to verify that you really did ovulate. OPKs can detect any hormone similar to LH (which is why they can work to test for pregnancy as well, in some cases). It's a pain in the butt to do at first, but it just becomes second nature after a while. But I definitely recommend it. It helps me know what is going on with my body, and I think it often helps me know when AF is on her way during an anovulatory cycle.
