CD1 confusion? Please help

Hi all, Im just wondering when is CD1? I counted CD1 when I had some light spotting through the whole day as I read that the first day you bleed is the first day of cycle. The next day AF was in full force.. should I have counted that day as CD1? or was I right with the day I was spotting?

The reason I am asking is the last 3 months ive had 30 day cycles before then i had a 31 day and the 2 before were 30.
Today would be CD31 if I was right so Im just wondering if I would count this as a day late? Im only 11dpo so I dont want to test as i feel its to early.

My charting app doesn't count spotting before AF as CD1- it moves me to a new cycle when I get proper bleeding.

That's how I count them, anyway, because that's what my app does

I agree, my doctor says count CD1 as the first day of true bleeding, not spotting.

ok thanks ladies! I dont normally spot before full force flow it usually just starts off full force. So I wasnt sure.
