ANOTHER ultrasound?! Opinions please!!

About 2 months ago I had some lower left abdominal pain so my doctor did an ultrasound and I had an ovarian cyst. He said it was a normal corpus luteum cyst and wanted me to do a follow up.

My follow up was last week and my cyst went away but there was another simple cyst (corpus luteum cyst) on my right side. It was about the same size but I had zero pain. Anyways, they found no abnormalities and said everything looked fine but he wants to do ANOTHER ultrasound mid-June. Do you really think I need another?!?

The only reason why I would consider it is because according to my projected ovulation chart I would be ovulating a few days later and I would be curious to see if they could see anything haha

That's strange, I don't see the need for another ultrasound either if your cyst(s) appear to be a corpus luteum cyst? But if you do have another one, yes I think they can see if you're about to ovulate/have just ovulated on an internal ultrasound b/c when I had mine last year the specialist said I had just ovulated!

Also I think that a corpus luteum is what's left behind AFTER you've ovulated? (someone correct me if I'm wrong!)

Yes it is. Both times I went for the ultrasound it was towards the end of my cycle. My doctor is very thorough I guess! I'll see how I feel come June but I didn't know if anyone else thought it was overkill too?!
