faint line on opk and now no line at all.whats going on?

i started using opks on CD 8 and got very light lines up until yesterday(CD11) where i ended up having no line at all.and today i have not had a line either.

i know im doing the test right.i hold my pee and don't drink anything at all for 4 hours.why would the line disapear?is this normal

Some women go from having no line at all to having a positive opk. Maybe you'll ovulate later than normal this cycle. When I use OPKs, I get progression. It's best to test twice a day, imo, so you don't miss your surge. Also, maybe you could try a digital. I used them to confirm my positive on the cheapie. I have to say though, that some cheaper brands show very light lines that are positives, and they look negative. I would try a different brand.

I think you may have missed your surge like jellybean mentioned. Once you start getting a faint line, it should get darker and darker until positive and then fade/disappear. You may have missed your surge if you are testing once a day. for some women it takes only a few hours between positive opk and ovulation. so if you tested in the morning/early afternoon you could have ovulated at night or early morning next day making it easy to miss it. my opks are usually about 2 days so i only need to test once or twice a day. If indeed you're ovulating very quickly during your fertile window i'd suggest testing 3 times a day.
