sudden pain after laprascopy?

i had laprascopy to treat endometriosis and have ovarian drilling done a little over two weeks ago. after about 5 days, i started to resume my normal activities although sometimes it would be painful (i know, im an idiot. its just that people already started rolling their eyes at my helplessness after 5 days - now i see it was stupid). anyway, now i have pretty severe pelvic pain on my right side. i havent felt any pain in the past couple of days, so this is quite sudden. i am also ovulating. has this happened to anyone else? should i be worried??

Hi, I also had a lap 6 weeks ago, and ovulated straight afterwards, this is my first ovulation since (today/tomorrow) and it is definitely a bit sore in my ovary.
I am guessing this is just due to the egg being released and the area still having a few bits healing. I'm not worrying too much, but have a follow up appointment in2 weeks where I will ask my surgeon.
Good luck this month, apparently the 3 months following a lap are good for conceiving!

I would definitely talk to you doc. You don't want to take chances. I didn't have any ovarian pain after my lap for a few months......then the endo came back. Have you ladies talked to your doc about the Zolodex injection? It's supposed to get rid of endo for 5 years, as opposed to the lap which can keep it at bay for up to one year.

It's an injection of hormones that basically puts your body into menopause for a short period, so that you can't produce estrogen, which makes the endometriosis worse. I had a shot in the belly every month for six months. It definitely helped with the pain at first.....not sure how well it worked. Just taking the doc's word that it'll keep the endo at bay for 5 years.

Sam, I would check with your doctor. I had my lap & hysteroscopy in March. I had mt post op appt 7 days later and all looked good. At about 9 days post surgery I started having tenderness to the touch by my right ovary. Turns out I had a cyst... It's nothing to be concerned about, but your doctor will want to monitor you. I had my surgery right before ovulation so I think my system just freaked out with all of the stuff I had done in my body! I had never had this issue before! Good luck!
