Taking forever this time :(

My husband and I concieved our first baby together after only 2 months , sadley I lost that baby at 3 months in Sept of 2011 , I went to the doc and he did an ultrasound to make sure everything was out and ok to ttc again , he told me he would see me back in Nov pregnant , well here it is now July of 2012 and still no baby , we did take a break , Jan 30th till march 18th but this is really getting me worried that something is wrong and I just dont understand how we got pregnant so fast the first time .

Each time can be random.
My first took 19 months and 4 IUIs.
My second was one try.
My third was 7 months.
Now we have been ttc for 27 cycles.

You just never know how long it will take. It's still under a year for you, and although it feels like it's been forever, it's normal to take this long to conceive.

I am sorry that its taking longer this time around. I know it can be frustrating. Last November I fell preg. but ended in early MC then we were TTC after that until April 2012 and fell preg again but ended in early MC April 13 2012 now we have been TTC since then. Try to be as stress free maybe that will be when it happens. Fingers crossed for you and baby dust!!

Oh hun, I'm so sorry for your loss last year, it must make it so much harder on you TTC now. Your doc's comment clearly hasn't helped- sometimes they don't think
Before they speak. Anyway, good and positives are that you know you can get pregnant- you're not infertile- this is the thought that makes women panic when they try for month after month and don't get anywhere- at least you know that's not possible for you.

The hard truth about TTC is that it can take time, some couples are lucky and it happens really quickly but each cycle you only have 20-25% chance of conceiving and it is quite normal for it to take up to a year or more. 85% of couples get pregnant within the first year of trying but that's obviously 12 cycles and because you had a couple of breaks you won't technically have tried that long yet.

My friend tried for 2 and a half years, had two miscarriages but is now 17 weeks pregnant. After 2 years you can get referred to the fertility clinic for tests etc but you've got so many chances to get pregnant before then I don't reckon you'll need that.

TTC is so hard sometimes, just try to stay positive and don't get too stressed out as that can be a barrier in itself. The month I stopped stressing with charts etc was the month we got pregnant with DS. Best of luck hun x
