do most of you know this already?

Hello ladies! today while i was at school I was talking with my M.A teacher who has worked in gynecology for many years prior to teaching. I told her that my husband and I have been trying to conceive and she asked me if I was figuring out my O day correctly. I told her I have a normal 28 day cycle and so I figured 14 days from the day i start my period. She said nope, It's 11 days from the day you end your period. I am waiting to start my period this week and used OPK's this cycle and got positives on July 8th, ans 9th and started my last period June 21st so if you calculate it, it does match up. I just have never heard of calculating your O this way. Have you?

Nope I've never heard that! I always thought it was 12-16 days before your next period

But I guess she'd know what she's talking about!

I know, right? I thought to myself well no wonder i am getting this all wrong! She also drew diagrams and everything. needless to say I feel a little better knowing exactly how everything works.

i think it has nothing to do with your periods ending, say i have 45 day cycle and my periods end in 5 days, than i cant have such a long lp
for every women ov dates can change not the lp, it remains so what consistent.
thats my 2 cent, i might b wrong

I understand what your saying. she calculated with a 28 day cycle so of course it would be different for someone with a 45 day cycle.
