Was just wondering if anyone new whether you can O on same day as LH surge starts?
Basilcally I have long cycles with no idea of O so started opk testing on CD 10 this cycle and got a pos on Sat afternoon, i had started temping again on Fri morning so the temps on my FF chart before fri are fake - but i'd say fairly accurate going by last month.
Anyway i put in my temp this morning and it has my O day down as sat - i have been getting pos opks since sat afternoon until late last night (48 hours) and even today although my opks are neg again the test line is still very dark, normally it goes back to a ghost line very quickly.
I might be wrong Hayley, but if your surge carried on until last night, it's unlikely you ov'd on sat. I would say it happened earlyish today going by the opks.
That temp dip on sat has probably confused FF, but really the temps after that aren't significantly higher than your first few temps (or the pre-ov temps from your last month's chart), so maybe you will start to see a more significant increase over the next couple of days confirming that ov only happened yesterday or today.
Hmm, just checked you chart too. Is this only second first month charting? I would have called your O on Monday actually. I think FF is just jumping the gun. It did the same for me on my first three cycles until it got used to me.
I read somewhere (wish I could find that article again!) that it depends how sensitive your ovaries are to the LH surge as to when you ovulate! And apparantly some women with very sensitive ovaries can ovulate with a level of LH which is not strong enough to get a positive on an opk! great... just to add confusion!
