Well I'd be optimistic and hope your systems getting back on track.
A LP of 14 days would be great but I don't think its too much to hope for a LP of 15-20...?

P.S. YAY EGG !!!

LP = luteal phase, the period of time between ovulation and the start of your period.
a normal LP is 11-16 days and although it varies from woman to woman once you know your LP it will pretty much be the same each month.

Mrs Doddy, i have the exact same problem as you...im currently on cycle day 58 and got a positive ov test on CD17 with an OPK but still no sign of AF...i did a POAS about 2 weeks ago got a BFN but im unsure when i will get AF or whether i should test again...its a nightmare! I just wanted to share my story as yours was all too familiar!

All the luck in the world to you, and know you're not alone!! xx

I'm kind of in the same boat. I ovulated on CD17 (which was May 2) and therefore expect AF around May 21 which would put me at about 36 day cycle. That's what my doctor is telling me to expect. So I will begin testing May 18 but really should be holding out until at least the 21st. But I haven't had two cycles that have been the same since I went off BCP a year ago!

Your LP has to be at least 10-12 days in order to get pg. The average is 14 days, but 12-16 is normal. Your LP can't be longer than 17 days without being pg or something being wrong.

So.. for testing.. the earlies bfp possible would be at about 6-7dpo, but that is very very early and very rare to see them that early. Many ladies will see a bfp at 12dpo or later. Some it will take longer.

It is best to wait to test until at least 14dpo... but if you can hold out, 18dpo would be ideal. You should either get a bfp or AF at 18dpo (unless something is wrong).

I got a false bfn (not a TRACE of a line) at 13dpo. I got my bfp 5 days later at 18dpo.

Good luck!
