Spotting between periods

I am currently inbetween periods (CD1 was 29th Oct so today is CD17) and my last cycle was 38 days long and they are usually between 37-41 days long. For the last couple of days I have had a really light spotting, do you think this is anything to worry about? I have recently been diagnosed with PCOS and I am worried that the spotting might be affecting ovulation, maybe it means I won't ovulate this month?

I have had a really stressful couple of days so I don't know if this has brought on the spotting - I've been worrying about my husband who was getting his sperm analysis results on Monday (all fine thankfully) and also we recently rehomed a dog three weeks ago who became really agressive with us and we had to give her back on Sunday after she bit my mum so I was really REALLY upset about that, she was a really awesome dog 90% of the time and then just flipped! Anyway perhaps stress has caused the spotting?

Would appreciate any advice!

Hi. I've recently had spotting too (CD19-20 of 29 day cycle) I don't really have an answer but I didn't want to read and run. I know stress causes spotting so that might be the cause...

Hope you get some answers!

Thanks, I think it probably is stress or ovulation, its gone away now anyway so fingers crossed it doesn't mean anything bad!
