Patronising Hubby

Hi Girls,

Bit of a vent coming up::

I've just found out a friend of mine is pregnant with her second. I told my husband and I sighed. He said: "oh come on love we might be one of those couple that try for years" and I threw back a snide "I don't want to try for years". .. His response was the horrible and patronising phrase I bet we are all sick of hearing: "Relax, it will happen when it happens, stop worrying"

Grrrrrr. If only I could turn up the sound of my biological clock ticking, I'd deafen him!

...that is all.

I know my oh feels pretty helpless about these things. He says useless stuff too - but it's because he doesn't know what else to say

My DH says the exact same thing. It is exasperating.

Even having gone with me to all my appointments, even having been there for all the embarrassing tests, my DH still also says the most moronic things all the time! I think men are just idiots when it comes to TTC. Lovable, cuddle-able, rage-inducing idiots.

How hilarious! My OH and I just had exactly the same sort of conversation as AF came today. "If you stop thinking about will happen" "WHHHHAATTT?!" You tell trying MY brain to stop thinking about what is NOT happening to MY body!! Oh yeah, easy peasy. Why didn't I think of that but whoops... we're not meant to be thinking
