Hi........ Im about to turn 42 and ttc, already have 4 the youngest being 12, just wondered if there was anyone in my age range who has fallen naturally or have I past my sell by date. Been trying for a couple of months seriously now and have just bought the Clearblue Fertility Monitor and praying that it will help us. Had blood tests done already to check my hormone levels and they all came back fine. Going to the hospital to see if there are any more checks I can have done but not sure how many they will do at my age!!!!
If anyone could share their experiences and give me some hope it would be much appreciated.
I'm 42, too. My baby girl is 15 months old, and I'm trying for number 2. Women our age have babies all the time. No reason that we can't do it, too. I figure that 42 isn't too different than 41 (my age when I had Catie). Just take a deep breath and get ready for the conception marathon. Good Luck!
I conceived Catie naturally, and had her via c-section. Apparently that is one of the downsides of older-mother births. I'm working on another natural conception. Lots of good old fashioned sex. . . plus OPKs. I had back-to-back chemical pregnancies in March and April. Hoping for great results in June! On my doctor's recommendation, I'm taking a low-dose (baby) aspirin every day to promote better implantation.
I turned 43 in May and am TTC #2.........My daughter just turned 12....I have had 2 m/c's in the past 9 months and have been trying for just over a year now.
I had 2 m/c's in the year after I had my daughter so am under gynae. Had blood tests a few weeks ago to see what the problem might be. I can conceive but it's the holding onto the bean that seems to be the problem for me now!!!!
