Ok so my doctor called me – this is how the call went
Me: ok I can accept im not pregnant, but can I please get a referral to a gynaecologist to get checked out
Doc: well you know its perfectly normal to miss three periods (bear in mind he was concerned last month when I told him that I had missed 2)
Me: ok well its not normal for me so id like a referral, im tired of waiting around
Doc: youll need to come in for an examination and then we can decide from there
Me: ive had examinations and blood tests, everything came back normal. Cant I just get a letter for a specialist?
Doc: no we want to determine there is a real problem that’s not manufactured… (I interrupt)
Me: im not making this up, im genuinely concerned about it. You know what? Ill go elsewhere
OMFG how DARE he tell me its manufactured??!?!?! I’m so fucking angry!
That is absolutely rubbish - I bet you are spitting with rage - I would be. GPs are (sweeping generalisation I know) useless, in my experience anyway.
Change doctors if you possibly can, but in the very least, push push push for your referral. Just make a nuisance of yourself.
on a doppler, i hear what sounds like normal blood, my heartbeat, then a loud rushing sound, like wind in trees or waves? then my heartbeat again
i have a little hard lump right above the bone, but either way he should still be checking me out for other things
and my mum didnt test pos or have any signs til 13-14 weeks with all 5 of her pregnancies and my cousin didnt test pos/show til 24 weeks - so he should be paying more attention with the family history! xx
