Please help me...

Hi. As some of you may know, I had bloods done to check my hormones last week and had the results today.turns out that I have slightly hi testosterone levels and my nurse thinks I may have PCOS so has referred me for a scan.

Does anyone have any experience of this? Wl I still get pregnant? I feel like everything has been taken away from me.

I went to the docs just for results today and ended up having an internal examinations. Positive tho is that I only have irregular period as a symptom, I just need some help xx

Hi! Sounds like we have the same issue! Don't worry, PCOS sounds scary, but if that's you're only problem, you will get pregnant eventually, it'll just take some help from fertility doctors. Try to cheer up because it's not the end of the world but I understand how you feel. The good(?) thing about PCOS is that it's one of the most common infertility issues so most doctors are very experienced in treating it and will know how to help you get pregnant. You might have to be patient but eventually, you'll be able to get pregnant. This month was my first month on 50mg of Clomid. Clomid is a medication that makes you ovulate. If you have PCOS you more than likely don't ovulate so you just need a little push. Good luck to you! It stinks to go through this and can be a lot sometimes with the multiple doctor visits, but it'll happen! I recommend that you ask your OBGYN to recommend you to a fertility specialist and go to them right away, rather than going to your OBGYN. It's like going to a dentist for braces - you would'nt go to a dentist, you'd go to an orthodontist. Smile! It'll happen!

Thank you. Before I'm referred I need to go for some scans to 100%confirm it and then go from there. So do you really think it'll be ok??

Hi! Just wanted to pop by and say don't worry! A friend of mine was diagnosed with pcos earlier this year. She had been ttc for 6 months and wasn't having much luck so went to her gp to get tested, started clomid fairly quickly and now she's 21 weeks with twins!

Don't give up hope - pcos is quite common and there are treatments that will help.

Sending you lots of PMA, baby dust and good luck! X
