My Fertility doctor put me on a strict diet. Honestly, it's been easy and my BH and I have lost about 10-15 pounds each without even exercising. Doc says it's the best for ttc.

We have switched to a whole food organic diet. We don't go organic on everything but we make sure everything we eat has NO added hormones and no artificial flavors. Whole wheat bread with only a few ingredients, organic fruits and veggies, hormone free meat and organic cheeses (the only things that's really hard to find at Walmart) The doctor said the added hormones in the food is really messing with my chances of getting pregnant. Pretty much, if it has more than 5 ingredients in the label put it back. Same with soy, my doctor and vitamin specialist told me the same thing, to avoid soy like the plague (soy oil, soy lechin, soy milk, soy everything).

I don't know if it would work for anyone else, and I apologize if anyone disagrees with our current diet, but I thought I would share my experience because it's been positive and easy to switch to fruits, vegetables, and less hormone meat. Good luck on losing weight to ttc!

Oops! Forgot that he mentioned milk was also very important to avoid unless it's organic. I switched to almond milk and I honestly think it's made the biggest difference in my weight and how I feel.

Just to boost your confidence, i finally got pregnant after loosing 20lbs and ttc for 1 year 5 months. I started at 245 and was 220 when i finally got my bfp. So it really does help.

(Something that helped the weight drop was just no more soda. I lost like 10 lbs just from that)

for everyone

Hey, wishing everyone luck with their diets. We can do it!
I am also hoping to lose weight in order to conceive. We have been trying for almost two years. I have very long irregular cycles ranging from 75ish to 170 days. Last cycle was 170 days and that ended with provera so I'm pretty sure it would have lasted even longer if I hadn't taken it.
Anywho... I started a fat flush drink. It is to clean out toxins from the liver which is great because then hormones will regulate if you have that issue. It entails grapefruit, cucumber, tangerine and peppermint leaves in water, let it sit overnight and drink throughout your day. I am doing this for ten days.
I am also starting Skinny Fiber, It has many benefits. It is believed to help with regulating hormones and helps with PCOS! look it up if interested. I also plan to do the cardiac diet for the first week on skinny fiber! This I my plan and I hope it works.
GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!

Have you had your insulin tested? I could NOT lose weight to save my life. I had tried everything. FINALLY my doctor told me that PCOS causes Insulin resistance. I was tested and sure enough it was off the charts. It's really difficult to get pregnant if your insulin isn't within normal range and that's what PCOS does to you.

Have you had your insulin tested? I have PCOS and didn't know it can cause insulin resistance until a new doctor mentioned it to me. I couldn't lose weight for the life of me! Sure enough, PCOS was messing with my insulin which makes it almost impossible to get pregnant and lose weight.

I really need to lose weight, my cycles are all over the place. My fertility doctor is really strict and won't help unless i get my BMI to 30, its 39. I keep track of what i eat on Fitness Pal and thinking about doing The Biggest Loser as well to help. I did lost about 10lbs buts i've put some back on over winter
