Anyone trying to conceive after tubal reversal? - Page 2

$3800 with meds? Where is that? I had mine in May 2011. Still no BFP either.

dang is tht all u paid for ur TR...i paid 5,700....keep ur hopes up...its coming...just taking time

I had mine May, 2011 and still trying. I've done 2 rounds of clomid/hcg IUI's. And 1 round of clomid/hcg timed intercourse. I had hsg that showed one tube is blocked. It's very frusterating. I finally had to take a break from the fertility meds. I think looking back now instead of spending 6700 on the reversal and a extra 3300 on the fertility treatments, I would have just went straight to IVF. I'm coming up on a year now. There is another thread of tubal reversal ladies on here some that have had theirs and others going on 2 years or so.

r u serious...thts crazy...dr. told me both my tubes were open...but of course she made 5600$...she said ders a good chance i could get preggers but didnt say wen...den again she made her $$$$...lol...and last but not least she said if i didnt get preggers i could turn to artificial insemination....Wth....

I know the feeling. I feel like my surgeon did his job and just sent me on my way. I haven't heard from them at all. I thought they would at least do a follow up check up like 6 months down the road. I asked my gyn to do a hsg and she sent me a msg saying that since my op report says tube was clear, only had one repaired, at time of surgery then I should be fine. I'm like I know what happened back then, but it will be a year next month and I am concerned it didn't heal properly. Anything can happen within a year. I too wish I had just went with ivf instead.

I Went back to my fertility doc after 6months and they did the hsg. They didnt call me either so i called them. Both were open after surgery. But I guess scar tissue developed in one. All these test, meds and treatments rack up in cost. Thank-goodness the hsg was covered under my insurance and only cost me 100.00. Really push for that hsg because the scar tissue can develop and sometimes it will push it thru. In my case it didn't. But now I have a peace of mind that I know at least every other month I'm in the race. And with fertility meds it's def helpful but draining and didn't result in BFP.

Update on my ttc journey. i last posted that i was late and on my first round of metformin. well i keep poas and finally bfp i had four but then started to bleed so went into the dr office right away my hcg levels were 5.56 dr said i was miscarrying. i went back 2 days later to repear bloods they went to to 10. then 2 days later they were at 44 thenn 111however the whole time my progestrone was only .046. so dr said something is def wrong and its not viable he wanted to terminate it becase it could be ectopic which i believe it is . i am having lots of disconfort on my right side. i had shot it is now two weeks and i got for bloods today to see if they have gone down. they were 246 last.

I traveled too far for my surgery to go back there for it, but the hospital where I will get it done only charges $88 for self-pay patients so there should be no excuses for me not to have it done. It's just almost impossible to get ahold of my doctor. I really want to know so I know what my next move should be. Don't really want to start meds and any other treatment and it all be a waste of time and money.

Sorry you are going through all that.

I hope they will get to the bottom of it when at your appt today. I have been secretly following you and was so excited for you when you finally got your BFP. I know things will work out for you. Keep us posted.
