Can you ovulate is still bleeding from birth?

I gave birth to my son 2 weeks ago, and am still bleeding, as it is getting slightly heavier in the last few days, I am wondering if this could be AF instead of postpartum bleed. Just wondering if I could ovulate in a week or so if there is still blood present? Just wondering as I keep getting pains in my ovary like I used to prior to pregnancy.

Didn't want to read and run.

I don't have an answer to this I'm afraid. I just wanted to say I'm very sorry for your loss and I hope someone on here has an answer for you.

I was watching a show on birth. and the doctor said that women can ovulate the day after they give birth and your most fertile time is the week after giving birth.

so I think that its possible. I hope that helps and everything gets cleared up for you soon hun!

We had sex a week after I gave birth to my son, the bleeding had stopped, but then started back up again. I wish with all my heart that we would be lucky enought to get pregnant from that occasion, but I know it is a very slim chance, just a waiting game. Just got back from doctors, and they advised me to wait until I have had a period and then we can try again. But dont know if the bleeding starting again WAS my period or not? I have told myself that when bleeding stops we WILL try again, and just leave it to fate if we get pregnant again or not. I'm just not the most patient person in the world.
