Discouraged-need to rant! TTC over a year...

Hey all, I joined this forum when I first started trying...last October. I was so hopeful and so sure that I'd be pregnant by the summertime....but here I am after 14 months of trying and still nothing! So many of my friends are pregnant or recently had a baby and every time I hear about a new friend with that good news I should be happy for them but instead it just pains me. All I want is to be a Mom. I work at a Preschool and devote my life to making children happy. I feel like I am not asking for why wont it happen?
I have seen a Reproductive Endocrinologist and the only minor issue I have is mild hypothyroidism. When I saw her she upped my dose and now my levels are fine. Everything else is fine...all the bloodwork and the trans-vaginal ultrasound showed nothing of concern. I use OPKS on and off and feel that I now know when I ovulate at this point but lately my cycles have been shorter...maybe stress?

Sorry I just wanted to rant and was hoping to find some other women in the same boat since, like I said, most of my friends already when through this and can't relate.

i am so sorry for how you are feeling. I have been in your position and felt like that too. Took me 19 months for my first bfp (unfortunately ended in a miscarriage. Finally got my DS after a second miscarriage and another 18 months ttc!) I just want to give you hope that one day you will get your little one and they will be worth all of the pain you currently feel! Good luck and i hope you get a sticky bfp soon!

Have you had any symptoms of pcos or endometriosis? All of my bloodwork, levels, and male factor tests were great. I was diagnosed with endometriosis after a laparoscopy and I never really noticed the symptoms because I was just so used to them.

Sorry you're going through this. You say you've seen the specialist, has your other half been tested too? If all is normal hopefully will happen in time. Maybe a short break to relax and take your mind of it will help? X
