52nd day, no periods and on clomid.....

Hi All,

This is my first day in this forum. I thought of discussing what I am going through. I am in my 2nd month of clomid. I have not got my periods till today.....It is my 52nd day. I also do not get the regular period symptom....ie...sore breasts.

I had a Home Pregnancy test on my 48th day but it was negative. I sometimes have mild headaches and back ache. But, wasn't sure that I could be pregnant as these could be period symptoms also. The cervical mucous discharged is not much but white in colour. But, I dont have any odour problems.........like not liking the smell of coffee or meat....

Have anyone experienced my symptoms and can just give me an idea of what I am experiencing? I am trying to book an appointment with my doc too.........

Prashi - have you only done one cycle of clomid? I assume so if you have not had a period since you have begun taking it. But I wanted to clarify this is your second month but first cycle of clomid? Clomid can make your cycles a little longer (but only by a few days or so), depending on what your cycle looked like before you started the clomid. I would reach out your Dr.. You should have had your period by now, clomid tends to keep things pretty regular and predictable. Good luck, I hope you get that bfp soon!

I agree...if you're not having regular periods, the doctor should definitely prescribe you something to make them come on like Prometrium or Provera.

Im a bit surprised actually that you need to ask this, not cause I think its a silly question at all, but when you are perscribed clomid your doc should be carefully monitoring you to see if you actually ovulated on the dose, cycle length etc. I would be going back to your doc asap and asking some questions, if they arnt willing to give you the attenion you need while on clomid perhaps finding a new doc is in order. Welcome to the forum hun, hope you get some answers soon!

Hi............Thanks for the reply... You are right that this is my 1st cycle of clomid - 50 mg. I was advised by my doc to take clomid for 3 consequent months and if I dont get conceived within this time, she can check me further and provide other treatment required.

Yes.....I am taking clomid for the 2nd month, but in the first cycle. I got my periods on 32nd day last month. My periods is usually irregular....ranging from 35 to 40.

Thanks for your info............I will visit my doc ASAP...........:-)

Thanks for the reply.....As I had irregular periods & was TTC, my doc said that she could help with clomid. But, she never said that I need to be monitored by her for ovulation. She suggested using OPK.

As this is my 1st attempt to conceive, I knew nothing abt pregnancy, ovulation & stuff..........I used to google & find answers for all my questions.....In this way, I read how a person is monitored during clomid........So, it is me who monitored myself.........ha ha......

I am so relieved and happy that I registered in BnB as I can get experienced advice for my queries. I will soon see my doc.............Thanks again....

What CD's are you taking the clomid. Most Dr.'s will say CD5-9. Some will say a little earlier, CD3-7.
