You're not alone hun! I'm 35 and dh is 43. We live in the UK. I've wanted a family for as long as I can remember but only met dh 3 years ago and have been married for 18 months. We've been TTC#1 pretty much for that 18 months, with a couple of isolated months off - one for health reasons and one because it looked like dh may lose his job.

I'm about 7-9dpo at the moment and dying to test.

How about you?

You're definitely NOT alone. I'm 37 and OH is 35. We're currently waiting to test on or around 9Jan, and are TTC #1. OH was laid off in the spring of 2009 and the job market/economy has not been good for his job search. He would prefer to NTNP but as I'm the one with the hourglass ticking away, I'm going to continue to TTC.

I was married for over 12 years and wasn't on the pill for about the last 7 of that relationship although sex life was pretty much non exsitent, plus hb wasn't ready for kids.

my new oh is so supportive and really wants a lo I just hope I can give him one. FX for all us over 35 and for a up and coming year.

Oh Lisa1, you and I have similar stories... married for 9 years and always on the pill (not that it mattered with no sex life). Now VERY HAPPILY with OH, who's 45. Sometimes I'm afraid it will never happen, other times just eager for it to! We've been TTC since Sept, when I came off the pill.

Right now CD 7, so planning to BD every-other-day from CD 10 to 20. Does anyone chart or use OPKs? I'm wary of all that...

How's this month looking Mommyinwtg? How long have you been TTC? And you Deb? When will you test? Fingers crossed for a very Happy New Year!

Wellll, I'm planning to begin testing on Friday, provided doesn't show her face. I'm convinced I had a chemical in November, as I had every symptom known to man except the nausea. AF showed up so that was that. This month I feel fine except for some lower abdominal cramping. I'm not feeling like this is the month.

I'm 39, husband 41, will start trying in Feb for #1.
I feel very discouraged when I read statistics about it taking so long when you're this old, but 2 of my best friends both got pregnant at 38 the first time they tried, actually one of them wasn't even trying, so fingers crossed.
My husband is convinced we'll get a hole in one too, i just hope I can relax and not spoil things by getting too obsessed about it.
We've both taken fertility tests and seem to be ok, we've also been taking Pregnacare conception for 3 months now.
