Help! Anyone 1 week late and BFN that ended up being positive?
Hello...anyone out there 1 week late or more and have BFNs that ended up BFPs?
I normally have 28 dayish cycles and only time I have ever been 1 week late was when I got pregnant with my children...this has never happened before, but with them I tested and had a BFP by 1 week after AF was due....I don't understand.
I have been testing daily for about 4 days now with First Response Early REsult tests...yesterday the tests were positive for the first minute or 2 then clear afterwards (very strange)...talk about stress and confusion. Wonder if my body is messing up for the first time ever as I have never ever missed a period in y life unless pregnant or breastfeeding previously...this is very strange for me indeed!
Anyone who has experienced this please tell me what happened with you...thanks!
Typically, by the time your period is a week late, you should be seeing a BFP, if you're pregnant.
If you think you are, but are still getting a BFN, you might want to go to the clinic for a blood test.
It is strange, if your periods are usually pretty regular.
I think I'd go get a blood test if I were you, just to make sure.
Good luck hun, im using those hpt too and totally confused.. Had bfp three days ago, af due today not yet arrived.. Also has blood test hcg was 10.. Now today same hpt is neg... What is the go with first response pt??? confused too
I was reading on a site that the FRER has that issue sometimes where it is positive for the first few minutes and turns negative but out of the 40 women only 9 were pregnant when testing with this test and had this problem. I brought 2 different tests (Answer and Equate) and all 3 tests yesterday were negative...the Equate looked like it was an error as the dye was so light you could barely see it on the control part...so strange...but anyhow totally fed up now
I totally agree with Grrrlmom... Normally after a week late you should definately get a BFP... I don't rely on those HPT's out there anymore, I had 2 faint positives and I'm not prego...?? spotting and all...
I would call your GP and get a blood test done, that is 100%. Wishing you the best of Luck and hope to hear some good news soon...
I know what I am supposed to do and what USUALLY happens with this, but this isn't USUAL for me therefore only looking for anyone out there who has experienced THIS and got a BFP down the line as I have heard of some people this happening to them....experiences only please! Hopefully my period just comes, but the same opinions over and over sigh...I know, but thanks
Wow alibaba...what a gorgeous girl you do have...congratulations! Awww. Is she eating by mouth yet (I see the feeding tube)? Did you ever get a BFP?
I don't know about myself..I give up...this is truly puzzling for me and very stressfull. IT's actually making me very grumpy to not know what is happening. I know the minute I make the doctor's appointment, my preiod will start. I've got my supplies ready. Grrrrr just come on AF OR BFP...sigh
Anyhow, I think I may have fixed my problem (long story)....I came across something that made me think I probably ovulated about a week ago which also means I missed my fertile window because i thought I ovulated earlier..( I have switched to NTNP the last fewmonths, but won't be anymore as i don't want to be left clueless again!) so makes sense I didn't start yet..hopefully these long cycles won't happen again as I am not used to them and this threw me for a loop for sure!
