Absolutely gutted

Tested positive last thursday but today have had cramps, bleeding and a negative. Spoke to the Dr who confirmed it was a chemical pregnancy.

Trying not to dwell on it too much, but I can't believe how much it has upset me. Both hubby and I want to conceive so much that it seems like is a means to an end rather than what it should be.

Don't know what I am trying to say here - just venting my frustrations really.

So glad I found this place though, am having a browse around and finding out so much and its nice to know I am not the only one going through all this!!!

sorry to hear that hun.
i had one (i think) and my sister in law said - at least you know you can get pregnant, which i suppose helped me a little as there was always something at the back of my mind saying - what if we can't
keep doing what you're doing.... and i hope you get your bFP soon

xxx

Apparently 5 out of 6 fertilised eggs do not result in a succesful pregnancy, which is why a lot of people don't recommend early pregnancy tests. That's not going to make anyone feel better but I think it's important to be aware of that statistic.

Good luck to everyone! I really hope you get your bfps soon and that they are sticky beans!

x

Ber,

I'm so sorry for your loss. I too had a chemical pregnancy recently, Jan 25 of this year. It was heartbreaking for me to see that faint little line one day, then it was gone the next. The way that I looked at it was that it just wasn't my time quite yet. It's a very sad thing, but I'm happy just to know that I CAN get pregnant. The good news is that your chances of conceiving are still the same and that a repeat chemical is highly unlikely. If you ever need to talk, I'm here for you! I know what you're going through. Good luck, sweety! LOTS and LOTS of sticky babydust!

I know - crazy isn't it? Have you watched 'The incredible human body'? It's really interesting. I posted a link for it the other day.

Thanks guys... I only tested when I did because I had a Dr's appointment the next day (for something unrelated) and they ALWAYS ask you if you're pregnant or think you might be. So I could have stayed in blissful ignorance (but still frustrated at not conceiving again!)
