Just joined the community and am really looking forward to being able to share experiences. I got married at the end of 2008 and have been ttc since then. Six months before my wedding, I had a myomectomy to remove some benign uterine fibroids. Anyways, after the wedding, I put on at least 15 pounds and have struggled to conceive since then. Last week, I had a laporoscopy, during which time my Doctor cleared up some adhesions that had formed after the last operation. It was also discovered that, while my right tube is very free and clear, my left tube is blocked. My Doctor has assured me I have nothing to worry about, and is planning to start me on fertility treatments (ovarian stimulation) when my next period starts..... I am so worried and anxious...and would love to hear from anyone with some words of encouragement

hi when i was 2 days old i had my left ovary & left tube removed as the ovary had cysts on......after just 6 mths of ttc i fell preg & have a 4 year old dd now so theres every chance you can conceive with just 1 working fallopian tube x
Im sure my case is rare. But i had a lap about 14 months ago and was told i had pcos and 2 blocked tubes. I was put on waiting list for ivf which i was due to start 2 months ago. I had no treatment for pcos as they said i could not conceive anyway. Im now almost 37 weeks and i conceived naturally.
Hiya!my friend had to have 1 fallopian tube removed due to a massive cyst and the other tube was really scarred. they told her she would not be able to conceive naturally. within 6 months she was pregnant!! so there is hope!! fx xxxx
I have no personal experience, but I do know of a lady who was on here with one tube removed because of an ectopic pregnancy, the other tube was due to be removed, she got pregnant the cycle before they were to remove it, nothing like getting pregnant out of spite just to show the docs hey!
