Late period - Calculating Ovulation?

Hi girls,

My peroid was late last month so I've been calculating my Ov date based on the date I got my late period. So far have had a lot of neg Ov results.

Am I right to be working it out on my late period date, or should I be calculating the date based on when I should have had my period (a week or so earlier).

Please help, I'm so confused!

You will start your period 14 to 18 days after you ovulated, providing you are ovulating. Have you tried charting your BBT?

Im doing it and it is so great to be able to see your ovulation pattern in your temps!

Thanks, I haven't tried charting yet but I think I will soon! I have such long cycles it's so hard to keep up with where I am! I'm doing OV tests, but have had a week of negatives so far.

You start day 1 of the new cycle on the first day of proper bleeding (not just spotting). It doesnt matter if this was earlier/later than expected. Hope this helps
