Endometriosis sufferers????????

Hi girls, just wondering how many other Endo sufferers there are out there TTC. I have had it since i was 16 and now i am 32 and been TTC for a year now but nothing! would love to hear from others in same situation with or without endo. It can be quite lonely out there as unless you are TTC people dont tend to understand how heartbreaking it can be.

I am new on here, its so good to know i am no alone!! xx

Hi Jan

There are quite a few endo sufferers on here so you're definitely not alone.

I've had endo for about 10 years now and have had 7 laps during that time. We started ttc in Jan 09 and I came off BCP then. My endo flaired up incredibly badly so we had to stop and I had two ops to get rid of it. The last was in March 10 and we're on our third cycle of trying again since then. I was told five years ago that the endo had damaged both of my tubes and there is a high chance I can't conceive. I was completely devastated for a long time but at my last op they said that there is nothing wrong with my tubes and there's no reason that they can see why I won't be able to conceive naturally - go figure!? It was a massive weight off my mind and I'm very hopeful that we'll conceive naturally in the next year or so.

GL with ttc xxxx

Hi chick

I have endo, been trying for over 6 months. Had prostap injection last august to try and help with the pain and my ovary cyst. Since coming off the prostap and my periods coming back I have been trying but no luck so far!

Waiting on appt with my consultant at the moment.

I have a friend who has endo and recently gave birth to a beautiful baby girl so don't give up. It took her years to get pregnant but she decided to have surgery and get everything checked and cleared out and 4 months later was pregnant! It is possible but its very hard esp if sex hurts (sometimes i am in terrible pain)

love and baby dust!

hi jan,
I too suffer from endo and also pcos had problems since i was around 15 i ve had numerous laps in this time and was found to have both.I either have very very heavy painful periods lasting weeks, irratic periods or non at all.Ive just had a course of prostap injections an i can say that its definately helped with the pain havent ha any pain since coming off it but then again im still waiting for my first a/f as i was also on the evil depo injection so wish i had been better informed regarding the time it takes for your cycle to return so angry the docs never said anything Anyway i had a m/c then was found to be ovulating irratically so was given clomid i fell with my first little girl within the 1st month and then found out i was pregnant when she was around 6 months old,we were astounded to find out that we were having twins and naturally !! so here iam hoping my cycles will return soon as we would really like to extend our family with another bundle of joy sending you lots of luck xx

I don't officially have it, but the gyno thinks it might be and I'm having a 'lap' on the 9th July. Was reading about it last night and it sounds quite likely. Would also possibly explain why I'm not falling pregnant x

GL to you x

Hey hun, I'm 22 and found out I have endo when I was 18. I found out this year after a year of doctors telling me to keep trying that I also have PCOS. Since then I've been to see a gynae and I've been on Clomid for the last 5 months. It's so devestating when you see the negative sign or get your period so believe me you are definitely not on your own although it certainly feels like it when you don't have anyone ou can talk to about it. I am on day 28 of my cycle today and I'm petrified to take a test but then again I'm petrified to look down tomorrow to find if I've had my period. At least I've not had any pain this week which normally indicates I'm going to get the dreaded period so fingers crossed! ... We've all got to hang in there together. xxx

Wow thanks girls its sooo nice to hear your stories, atleast we all know what each of us are going through. I have had 2 Laps, another op to remove cysts, provera, and injections. However it was the pill that worked best for me. Been off it now for 14mths. My periods have been fairly regular although very painful but just not sure if ovulating. Charting on fertility Friend. On day 34 today and just got my period thinking of going back to the docs and seeing what they can do for me.

Littlemiss82 my friend took Clomid and had twins also after a month of taking it!

Is anyone else charting on FF? XXXX

Hi Jan,

I have endo too. There's loads of us! I was diagnosed at 20 or 21 (I forget) and have had 3 laps. Had mirena to stop periods completely (which was successful) have been TTC since December. Had a chemical last month but at least it shows me that I might still be lucky enough to conceive and carry naturally.

I'm in my OneWW at the moment (and therefore and pretty crazy, symptom spotting) but am feeling hopeful.

I know loads of women on here have got pregnant and gone on to have happy and healthy babies so there's lots of hope out there! In fact, the endo group thread is pretty much abandoned as they've all had their babies it seems.

Lots and lots of for you.

I've started charting on FF, will see what happens.

x
