after removal of implanon

I had my implanon removed 19 days ago. I had been having a period every 14 days with it in. The day i had it removed a started a period (heavier than they were on the implanon). 2 weeks later i start spotting with cramps, i'm still spotting 6 days later with nausea and fatigue now. I don't know what it is? Spotting varies from brown then goes red/pink then brown again. Anyone experienced this? it seems too soon to be pregnant.

I had this. It could be your body just returning to it's previous cycle or adjusting to a new one.

It can take anything up to 2/3 months for your body to adjust.

Buit i suggest you see you doctor just to be sure.

Hi Ladies,

I had my implanon removed end of Jan due to continous bleeding. I was bleeding the day I had it removed and for a few days after. I am a odd one as I was also taking the pill (as well as having the implanon fitted) because the bleeding was that bad and my GP was reluctant to remove it straight away (it costs 1000!) and assured me the pill would stop the bleeding, needless to say it didnt! So I kicked off for it to be removed. I did plan to still take the pill but we decided to ttc #2. This is my 3rd cycle however I have a friend who concieved 2hrs after having it removed......she had it taken out went home to bd with oh who was going away on training for 8wks (army) so they only bd once and next month BFP BFP! But for me seems to be taking slightly longer, like I said though am an odd one!

Implanon removal..hated it

I just had my Implanon removed on April 13th. Mainly because of all the side effects and I seriously thought towards the end that I was pregnant. I found out I wasn't, so I must have been having a phantom pregnancy. I started lightly bleeding 3 day's later but really wasn't a period it only lasted 3 days...especially since my periods usually last 7 days. I am assuming that was my body getting used to the hormones leaving my body after removal. The last day of my spotting I had unprotected sex with my hubby, and since then I have been cramping. I'm curious if that is too soon to get pregnant? Is it possible that I ovulated the following days after removal and could possibly get pregnant?

Hey I got mines out in sept 2011 and felt sicky, fatique, crampy and a bit moody. I think it was hormones. The implant is a little rod full of hormone so when you get it out ur body in my opinion goes a little crazy trying to adjust with the sudden and unexpectedly change in hormones.

Ride it out soon u will be having more normal cycles!
