Okay, so what cycle number am I?

I know this is probably the most ridiculous question ever asked by a human being in this forum but since I want to contribute a bit to the statistics and to also know the answer myself, I was wondering whether you could help me decide which cycle of ttc I'm currently on

-We started trying in April, but only had once on what I thought might be my ov day.
-Same thing in May.
-In June, we BDed twice but it turned out an anovulatory cycle (I think)
-July has been the first month we tried 'properly' if you know what I mean, we had three times during my fertile week and such.

Now, if somebody asks me, 'What cycle number are you on, La Rockera?' (), what do I respond?

PS. I've warned this was a ridiculous thread. I suppose it's my obsession with precision that motivated me to humiliate myself and post the question, really.

you count from the first day of your last period..and it's not a stupid question..trust me when i was new to all this trying malarky i didn't have a clue till i came on here. So the first day of your period is cd1. It also helps to bed every other day the week of ovulation to help your chances..i did this with both my boys concieved first cycle. Goodluck! xx

Hi hon

I don't mean cycle days. I refer to cycle numbers. As in, months. Month number 1 of trying, month number 2 etc... This is what makes my question so ridiculous really Because I did't try too much the previous months, I wonder if I should include them in my ttc journey. That is, I'd like to be able to know which month of trying I succeeded.

Gee, writing and reading this does seem pretty stupid

Thanks for being so merciful and kind

I thought I'd be cycle four, too. I was just not sure if on April and May I actually tried post ovulation. Then again, I only charted for one month, June, which, as it happened it was possibly an anovulatory cycle and then I got overstressed with charting and dropped it all. LOL

Month four it is then, I suppose

Thanks for your help
