Personally I didn't like the Babymaking Bible. It's the only one of the many books I've bought that I haven't found useful - just found the tone of it a bit dictatorial (do this, don't do that and don't deviate from these rules if you want a baby) and gave up after the first chapter or so. Much prefer the Zita West books (which are more cut down on this, do a bit more of this but still enjoy life and if you want an occassional glass of wine that's fine)

I agree, like Zita Wests books, love the Taking Charge of Your Fertility book by Toni and the fertility, cycles and nutrition book by Marion. I can't remember their surnames.

The baby making bible book was really hand wavey, not at all science like and I didn't get on with it at all. the others are much better

Haven't read Taking Charge of Your Fertility ... if I don't get some good news next week I may have a read of that one next!

Has anyone read 'Fit for Fertility' by Micheal Dooley? Just been looking at details on Amazon and thought I'd see if anyone liked or didn't like it before ordering.

I've got that one Booflebump! The getting pregnant faster bit hasn't worked for me as I've no sign of a bump yet .... but good advice in there, easy to read, one of the books I liked (and cheaper than some of the others which is also a bonus!!)

My 'Fertile thinking' book arrived this morning. And so far I like it! Think it's only good for people who've been TTC for a while and are seeing FS or about to see one like me and my DH. It's about the emotional side of trying and failing to conceive and contains lots of practical suggestions of how to stop you going insane.
Only read first chapter so far and had to smile when I read the quote that "You know you're infertile when...your boss asks you what day it is and you respond day15!" Not that I'm quite at that point yet but give me a few months....
