Implantation bleeding or period? - Please help, I need feedback!!

On September 21, 2010 I noticed brown blood, which was a little amount... about the size of two quarters on my underwear. (sorry for being so descriptive, but I need to be specific!!) However, I wasn't expecting AF until the 24th. AF has always been very heavy with very bad cramps, lasting about 5-6 days and never early. But this month, the day after I noticed the brown blood, was some pink and a little bit of red blood that ended on the 24th, very scant and light, no cramps, and a few days early.

I'm wondering if it's just my cycle changing (Just a note: I've been off birth control since July 23, 2010) or if the first day was implantation bleeding but I still got a very light period following it. Please help!! I'm so confused :/

Hi babygirl, what you've described sounds very similar to what I had my last cycle. I was so sure I was having implantation bleeding cuz I wasn't due for AF till 9-15 and started this strange spotting 6 days earlier, which could've still been in the implantation phase.

Mine was light brown spots that would start/stop and then I got the weirdest AF in my whole life (only lasted 3 days and only needed a panyt liner it was so light). My typical cycles have always been heavy, 6-7 days long and never irregular so believe me, I was confused too. I went off BCP 5-22-10 after 10 years. So bottom line is I bet you just happened to experience a change in hormones this cycle causing a puzzling AF and some pre-AF spotting, which is bound to happen to many of us. Good luck to you!!
