4 days of very strong positive OPK's...

For the last four days I have had strong, no question as to their being positive, OPK's. All taken correctly in the middle of the day, not first morning urine, after holding for 3 hours, the test line was as dark or darker than control line, bla bla bla. After reading other threads I can see that some will say, "take a pregnancy test", and I know I'm not because I had my period and even took pregnancy tests that were negative. I have had positive OPK's cd11-14, and had what I would imagine may have been ovulation pains on cd12, though I've never noticed that before (so I'm saying I probably just assumed that's what it was since I am looking for these things now). I guess what my question is, what day did I ovulate? How am I supposed to know when I ovulate if I get these results for several days in a row? Does anyone else have this issue?

ok, you can look this up too, but i had the same thing happen. you probably got the surge the first couple of days from ovulation and then if you actually conceived a lot of people will continue to have +OPKs after ovulation. OPKs read progesterone, and when you conceive your body continues to make lots of progesterone, which is why people have symptoms long before the body starts making HCG..

Kylarsmom, when did you try a hpt? I am nowhere near the point where you would even think of testing but just wondering, when it happened to you, how many days past ovulation you were able to get a bfp?

welllllllll long story. LOL. I did all that research when i had 6 +opks in a row, and found out that that was a very likely reason. then every day from ovulation on i had crazy pregnancy symptoms... lower back pain, breast tenderness and fullness, abdominal pain, cramping, hearburn, dizzy spells, hot flashes, when i'd cough or sneeze it would hurt in my abdomen, i really really think i was pregnant. well close to my period due date i started spotting. i NEVER EVER EVER spot and although it was later than most people implant, im pretty sure it was Implantation bleeding. it stopped for 12 hours and then the next morning AF hit... i was so upset. i did some research and i have a short luteal phase and that can cause miscarriages bc you can have a fertilized egg trying to implant when your period hits and washes it all away. =( i dont have proof thats what happened, but i've been pregnant and had a kid before and i really think i was pregnant. so to answer your question... lol... i didnt get a BFP bc i hadn't implanted yet... but i know that lots of +opks CAN mean you are in the very early stages of pregnancy, although its still so early it doesn't mean it iwlll stick, unfortunately... =( But I really hope that is what is going on with you and that it will be a sticky bean!! =)

I'm sorry that it didn't result in implantation for you . I trust your judgment seeing as you have been pregnant. I have been feeling nauseous today, but I kinda think that is unrelated because it's pretty early to be related to pregnancy. Also low back pain and twinges in my...uterus...I guess (which could be my undending ovulation, lol)? I don't know, never been pregnant so don't know what to expect. Thanks for the input, really helps to hear something, even if it's not the case it's nice to think about

Day five, positive as well...I broke down and called the number listed on the box...they were no help, referred me to to a doc or a pharmacist....soo I called a pharmacist and she couldn't figure out what the heck it could be except maybe both ovaries are going a couple days apart...idk...but she said it doesn't pick up progesterone, only LH. So I don't know. I just hope I'm ACTUALLY ovulating, and not just throwing hormones for nothing. I took my temp and it was 96.8, so it doesn't sound like I have ovulated.

Please keep us updated as to what goes on with you, Mrs. White. I am in the exact same boat you are in, wondering why I had so many postive opks and my mind is tired from wondering what is going on, lol. AF isnt due for another week for me.
