Going off low dose aspirin

My doctor said I could start taking low dose aspirin after my last MC however I don't have any known blood disorders. Prior to taking the aspirin I got pregnant twice right away (both ending in MC). Now I'm onto my 6th month trying with no BFP. I read up on the mixed research findings on taking this, some positive some negative. I also read on message boards elsewhere about girls like me easily conceiving until they started with the aspirin. It's a hard decision to make as I don't want another MC but I can't stand not being able to conceive. So I figured I'll try going off for a few months and see what happens. Has anyone else had this issue?

Aww hun well if you dont want to take it then stop and see how how you get on.
I have no choice i have to take it coz i have SVT (supraventricular tachycardia), and had heart surgery in 2006 so i have to take 75mg once a day but it does make no difference for me as i have had 9 early mmc in 3 years but i am 43 and its unfortunately something that happens apparantly at my age so i have to just keep going and i am now on soy isoflavones as of this cycle , just something thats natural and something that is my last chance of trying.
Good Luck hun xx

Luv I would keep taking it. Its not only for blood related disorders like clottig issues, but its also to help with implantation issues. I have had 4 mcs prior to this little one and was tested and had no clotting issues at all, but still was given the aspirin and later heparin injections, a major blood thinner. My doc explained to me that sometimes it can be an implantation issue where the blood vessels collapse, thinning the blood helps keep them open and flowing nicley. I had no problems getting pregnant before or after taking the aspirin, I dont think it has any effect on conception at all.

I was going to say the same thing as WannaB. I think he prescribed it because you are not implanting properly. The research I read also says that the aspirin increases blood flow to your ovaries giving u better uterine lining and stronger (possibly multiple) eggs per cycle. I definately would keep taking it. I hope u get ur soon whatever u decide!

I wouldnt stop taking any medication without a Doctor's advice, he obviously put you on it for a reason. Perhaps make an appointment to discuss it with him? Good luckx
