OPK - faint line question

Hi all

I have been using opk's for about the last week trying to catch ovulation after coming off the pill. Up until today I have had either no test line or a very faint one. Today when I tested the test line is darker, although still not quite as dark as the control line.

I was just wondering is there any significance in this ie is ovulation coming and the line will get darker and darker each day or am I reading too much into it?

I think it gets darker and darker as LH surge is near, but another possibility is how concentrated your urine was. Better not drink for few hrs before the test

I probably had a drink 2-3 hours before I tested and went to the loo probably an hour or so before if that makes any difference??

Having a big drink might, but otherwise, not drinking 3 hrs before would be fine.
Not sure about going to the loo 1hr before, I think that's ok too.

Just tested again and exactly the same. There is definately a line there but just not as dark as the control.

I think I have had some slight pain poss ovulation pain but I'm not sure if I'm imagining it. It wasn't a sharp pain but enough for me to notice it, a twinge I suppose.

I also think I have had some ewcm today, although I have had some very light spotting, is this normal after stopping the pill.

Anyones thoughts would be much appreciated.

I think that means you should be getting a positive soon! Maybe next day? When I use OPKs... I get no line, then a faint line the day or so before I get a positive, then I get a positive for a day or two, then back to a faint line for a day... then back to no line....

Some women start to show the LH surge a day or so before it's positive- just think of it as a good thing- you get a pre-warning

hehe.

Since the "troops" can survive for 3 days (typically)- but sometimes up to 4 or 5 days- with a good environment... can't hurt to start DTD soon!!!!!

Haven't tested again yet today but still have ewcm and some slight twinges, although not as noticeable as yesterday. But I was just wondering how long before ovulation can you have the symptoms for?

Well just tested again and the test line has got lighter. I'm so confused really thought O was on the way. I'm gutted!!!

Someone on another thread just suggested maybe I missed it if only testing once a day. Is this possible, I haven't had a temp rise.
