I Dipped...Normal?

So I've heard that dipping below the cover line is a big no-no in the world of charting. I seem to have done that this morning and I'm not sure what to think about it. Any care to take a gander to either soothe my thoughts or just flat out break it down for me. I can't remember the last time I had a 23 day cycle, but I have had a few 24/25 day ones in my time. Or is this something other than AF...?

Thanks ladies! And good luck!

Hmmm...depends on how long your cycle is...if you don't usually see AF this early - it could be an implantation dip...implantation happens between 6-12 dpo...I wouldn't think at 8 dpo you'd be seeing AF today...unless thats how long your cycles are.

No, they're generally not 23 days. Like I said, I've had a 24 or 25 day cycle on a rare occassion, but they're mostly anywhere between 27-28 and a rare 29 day. So, hypothetically, if it was an implantation dip, would it stay low? Or just bump back up above the line?

If it was an implantation dip (which you would be right about in the correct time frame because the average woman implants at 9 dpo but sometimes earlier), theoretically, your temp should jump back up way above coverline. If it was AF it could stay down for a couple of days, or slowly go back up as well....GL to you and lots of baby dust!

See, you went down for 3 days in a row and then dipped below cover...when I did that and had that drastic of a dip at the end of 3 days, last cycle, I got my period that day...so with a dip that big, if you don't see AF today...it could be a really good sign!

Thanks! I should also mention that my temps may be slightly crazy due to the fact that, excluding today, the past 2 mornings I've had to get up at 3:00a to pee. And I temp at 5:40a. So I know that's not the "3 hours of rest" I'm supposed to have before temping, but it's the best I could do. That MAY explain some of the erratic-ness, but I don't know if it makes that big of a difference. I guess I'll just wait and see what today/tomorrow brings!

I had some erratic temping due to having to get up to go last cycle too! There were screwed up times in there for me as well, but there was no mistaking the dip my temps took when AF came! Fingers crossed!

Ah, I see. I never really knew just HOW much the temps were affected. I guess it depends on how long you stay up, what you do, etc. I've been having backaches and cramps today as well. Very AF-like. But I really don't think it would come this early in my cycle! At least I hope not. Stranger things have happened. There's none of that pre-AF stuff going on in the bathroom, if you know what I mean (sorry, TMI!). So we'll see. Good luck to you as well.

I have a good feeling for you! 8 dpo seems really early to have a dip like that if its not implantation! I can't hope for myself right now (I'm supposed to be WTT) so I'll hope for you! If it is implantation, you should be able to test in just a couple of days!

I like how you said you're "supposed" to be WTT.

And thanks for the good feelings. I hope you're right, although I'm nervous about you/I being right, at the same time. LOL! I work at a lab, so I can do a blood test whenever my patience seems to run out. Woohoo! It's come back to disappoint me before, so I try to wait until at least a couple of days before I'm due.
