Sperm Count? Drastic difference?

I have a quick question. My husband had a sperm analysis done earlier this year and the results were 8 million/ml, so extremely low. Well he had another test done this past week and we got the results back last night.. 21 million/ml! My question is how could there be such a drastic difference in these two tests? And I'm wondering which one is more accurate. I'm hoping things are starting to turn around for us!

My husbands test wasn't great and he has to retest. The consultant said that lots of things can affect a sample - even things like how long he was stimulated before producing the sample!!!

I've had my hubby taking a load of vitamins since his test to hopefully the next test in 6 weeks will be loads better!!

Was it just the count that was the problem?? My hubbys count is ok it is just the motility xx

I believe so. I believe his motility was fine. The first time he was tested was in March I believe? So it's been a while between tests. I keep telling him to quit smoking because that can affect his count, but he still smokes (he's in the Army and I think that makes it harder to quit since so many people smoke!). I have had him eating more veggies though so maybe that is why? I just think it is crazy how it tripled from the last.. We are about to do IVF in the next few months so I'm wondering if we will even need to now (I hope not) I do have PCOS but I'm hoping now our chances will be higher. After a year I am just done with this! (I know so many of you ladies have been trying for a lot longer than a year.. I don't know how you do it!)
