Nat - They don't realize how lucky they are! I just hope and pray that the girl who said she didn't want it, will love it and treat it good and not as like it's a burden.

We all will get our BFP soon! I just know it!

I too completely understand this. It just seems so easy for everyone else doesn't it? I have a confession - I haven't phoned or tried to get on the webcam to my best friend in New Zealand since she went back in July after her visit here. The reason being, she said she was planning to start trying for her second child when they got back and I dread that she might announce she's pregnant if I call her. How bad is that? I told her in July that we were trying so, to be fair, she's probably wondering if I'm pregnant too We e-mail regularly but I know she probably wouldn't tell me on e-mail, did it over the phone last time. So I dread a call from her too - I'm horrid

Also, on the subject of ladies who just don't seem happy to be pregnant, I've been on a work induction today and two girls there are pregnant. I heard one ask the other one "are you excited?" (the one who asked did seem to be). The one who answered (who already has a 3 year old too incidentally) said "not really, we didn't really want it to happen this soon to be honest." I felt like shaking her to make her realise how lucky she is!!
i had the same thing,a heavily preg lady at work said to me oh this bumps a pain wish id never opened my legs then she laughed
i lookedhe right in the eyes and said 'count your blessings' 'some women cant seem to get pregnant' and you never know who ur moaning too!

I too know how that feeling is.

My husband and I went to a wedding the end of July, beginning of August for one of his best buds. All the bride would talk about was how she would be pregnant within a month now that they were married. She wasn't at the time of the wedding. Well, hopefully not, since she was getting extremely drunk.

About a month later, my husband told me she was pregnant. I am staying off of Facebook because I don't want to see her ultrasounds and updates. It's been a couple of months now.

Husband doesn't understand. He says I am being selfish and bitchy and unfair to them by not wanting to hear updates. They live several states away and I never talked to them anyway.

This thread has shown me that there are others like me out there. I'm not alone in avoiding the dreaded announcements from those who don't understand that it's not always so easy.

I am at school checkin BnB and facebook between classes. One of my friends just posted on facebook that she is pregnant. I had to run to the bathroom to cry. Does this ever stop?

I'm sooooo sorry hun... I'm sure the longer your at it the harder it gets. I truly hope it happens for you soon!!!! I understand your frustration...

I know it may sound strange.... lol... but have you thought about trying something "out of the norm"? Like acupuncture, or hypnofertility? Maybe even something silly and fun like a baby spell? Sometimes little things that give us faith and hope, no matter how crazy it is, can do a lot in terms of our positive mental attitude... and that certainly can't hurt At this point, what do we have to lose really?

Best of luck and tons of baby dust coming your way!!!!

I guess I have strong feelings about this...I know how you feel to a degree, but not quite as bad, as I have only been trying for 5 months...but I too have watched girls pop on here and within weeks have their BFPs and it does sting a little. I'm not trying to offend in any way, my only goal on this site EVER is to give and receive support from others who are going through similar situations.

I used to have a best friend. She had a daughter, who is turning 6 in a few days. We have since grown apart and haven't spoke in 7 months. She started experiencing secondary infertility and had 2 m/c and has been TTC with her husband for about 3 years now. She started to get really really bitter towards pregnant people and even when people we liked found out they were pregnant she'd say, "I hate them." and on rare occassion (if she didn't like them) "I hope they misscarry."

Wow. Really? I lost a lot of respect for her. I would never want anyone to wish ill of me and my unborn child because they were jealous because of their own infertility. It made my skin crawl when she would get on a rant about it, because its not the other people's faults. I've wanted to be a mother since I was 5 years old and now I'm finally trying, it does hurt to see babies and bumps.

When I was still friends with this girl, I was TERRIFIED that I would get to a point in my life where it was time to start trying because I didn't want to hurt her if I ended up pregnant before she did. I was secretly willing to not start trying until she got pregnant just because I thought it would be horrible if I got pregnant straight away. I don't really think thats normal. A friend shouldn't be scared to tell their friend they're trying/pregnant. Its not really fair to them, they have just as much right as anyone else.

I know its a horrible feeling and can only imagine after such a long time that it gets worse, but just watch that you're not being unsupportive to the important people in your life. Their experiences shouldn't be diminished by your unhappiness. Hope you get your BFP soon!!

I have actually deleted people from Facebook who keep going on and on about being pregnant.

There's one girl who obviously is, but has decided not to make it official until 12 weeks....and instead of either saying something or not saying something, every day she updates her status with her pregnancy symptoms! Beyond annoying. And I know she wasn't trying - she only has a very casual relationship with her 'boyfriend'.
