Unless you know the pattern of your own cervix then you cannot really determine what this can mean.
I have been checking my cp for 3 cycles now, the last one I was pg so I sorta know what mine does, unless it changes of course.
I ovulated 3 days ago and my cp was high but I could reach the tip of it, yesterday it was even higher and I could hardly reach it all. The cycle I was pg on, mine went really soft and at about 7/8 dpo I couldnt tell my cp from the walls of my vagina..this was a pg sign for me, as on the cycle before my cp came down low about 6/7 days before af was due.
There isnt really a best time to check, but you must check it around the same time everyday as it can move about throughout the day.
Also, try to check it in the same position all the time as this can also make a difference.
I check mine in the morning and around tea time (if I remember). Im 3dpo today and mine is really high up that I can only touch the tip with my finger tip.
I was advised by the gurus at Fertility friend not to check cp after ov, because it's meaningless and confusing. After ov every woman is infertile, whether pg or not, and cp can be anywhere. Just gotta sit back and relax in the 2ww - cp is not going to tell you if you are pg or anything else!
