I'm not trying anything to sway the odds towards one or the other specifically but I would love a boy (dd would like a sister but that's 6 year old girls for you!). I would be equally delighted with a girl of course

wigglywoo I think something like 80% of woman have a preference for gender, although like most the main outcome is a healthy baby xxx

I as well are taking the Supplements and doing the diet for swaying on a lil girl. We have 2 boys already and I would love to give them a lil sister! I have tried the shettles and didnt even get pregnant so I dont know.... all in all the lady that told me about the supplements and diet told me got her girl, so hey its worth a shot! I also just read your post and the High PH water I believe is for boys. Aquafina and Dasania both are made with reverse osmoses which naturally lowers the pH of water to about a 5-6.

will have to have a look at the ingender website and read about supplements & diet, though I'd probably be bad at sticking to a diet

ah thanks hunny, I may have read it wrong I thought I read perrier was good for conceiving a girl. Im mainly drinking milk and cranberry juice anyway but will check it out again.

tinkerbelle let me know what you think. Luvmommalife I can see why people wouldnt get pregnant on the shettles method, thats one of my concerns about trying it. How many months did you try shettles if you dont mind me asking?

I really find this all very interesing.

interesting! I have a son already but I would LOVE to have another boy! I don't know if i could handle a girl if she turned out to be anything like me At this rate, my husband and I would be happy to just conceive a healthy baby...but a boy would be the cherry on top! The ph strips sound interesting!

I never knew there were "ways" other than the ones that obviously don't work like certain positions for BD and all that. I'd be interested in how much it really works! Are there any studies at all on this?

Girl sperm is slower but stronger than boy sperm, Boy sperm is faster but weaker. If you if know your OV dates, you can help TTC a girl but only BD-ing up to 2 days before OV (obv lessens chances of conception each month). The girl sperm last longer 'up there' but takes a little while to get there, while the Boy sperm race to the finish line and die quickly. By BD-ing a couple of days before OV, you give the girl sperm a better chance. Like has been mentioned female sperm also like acidic conditions, so ladies if you want a baby girl then orgasms are off the cards around your fertile period as orgasming releases alkaline chemicals which is the best enviroment for boy spermies lol Shallow penetration in missionary position is also thought to be the best way to BD in order to conceive a girl, of course boys can/will be concieved this way too but when you think about the science, girls being stronger than boys, it makes sense to let the boys run ahead why the girls gracefully glide to the finish line knowing that they have a few days to catch the eggy!

OK so thats all i have read on the subject, not sure how much of it is true?! Goodluck

candicesj there have been a lot of studies on body enviroment and diet etc. If you have a look on ingender website it explains it all in detail.

SAJ there are different diet and supplements as well as timing to conceive a boy too.

babydustcas that the shettles method your reffering too but it can be difficult to conceive at all using this xxx
