One of the other girls may correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that the CB/FRER ones are 20-25miu so not as sensitive BUT are much more reliable (less chances of Evap lines etc).

I have a big stash of cheapies which I use so I can POAS whenever I want. If/when I get a line on 2 of those I will test with a more expensive one. No need to waste money xx

Just remember, a line is a line... so if you get a couple on the IC's at 10miu leave it a couple of days before you try the lower miu one as you need to give tghe HCG time to build up to be detected.

Good luck xx

Internet cheapies are always being talked about on here as not as reliable as others but it simply isn't true, it's just that some ladies feel more convinced when they see it in writing or from a more established brand name. I have used the eBay cheapies for years and they have never steered me wrong. I have never felt the need to go out and spend 7 on one test for it to tell me the same thing. If you are not convinced then get a Dr to confirm it. But like I said the eBay ones are the best for early detection hun as long as you only read them within the specified time frame which I seem to remember is 5 mins. After that there is a chance of evap on any tests.

Good luck hun xxx

Thanks for being so helpful! I'm new to all this testing stuff... my 3 children are all little miracles that happened without trying so I've never been through this part of it before!

Yeah i'm just gonna second what all the other ladies have said. Internet cheapies are generally more sensitive. If you then want to see it "confirmed" as such by a more well known brand give it a couple of days for the hcg to increase as they won't pick it up as early.

Hi Ju,

I too have a bunch of IC tests stashed away and I think they are great for indicating possible pregnancies. I am one of those people who would probably need to use another test to confirm it but at the end of the day if there are two lines present on it within the time limit then you are most likely pregnant!

I would just third and fourth what everyone has said and say that it you do get two lines on an IC then leave it a couple of days before using a branded test as your HCG levels may not be high enough for them tests and I am sure you would be extremely upset to see a after seeing on the IC's.
