Hi and welcome!! I am sorry to hear about everything that has happened to you.
This is the first thread i have seen that has been so openly judgemental but i am glad to see alot of people disagree. For what its worth i think this should be removed as it doesnt give out a very good impression. This site is all about support-regardless of age etc.

Thanks to you to vicki1978 I agree it's pointless & offensive & should be removed as you said this is a support site & this isn't supporting anybody

I can understand why you think it should be removed but in my opinion, it should stay.

Believe me, I was tempted to report it but the only reason I didn't is this - if somebody else starts thinking the same things, they may not see a thread about it and decide to start one, saying the same things as the poster here did and expect support. However, if this thread is left here, anybody who see's it (or searches "teen mums") will see the kind of reaction it got and decide to have a glass of wine instead of inflicting their rants on us all.

I expect the poster will come back and read through all the new post disagreeing with her opinion and it will get heated. Hopefully it does get removed its quite upsetting really-especially if you are/have been a teen mum and know you are doing a great job.
Being a mum is hard work and exhausting whatever your age x

i was just 17 then i fell pregnant with my son... no he wasnt planned but i wouldn't change him for the world!!!! i never fell back on to my mum for help as i know that i could look after him myself and do a great job of bringing him up... he is now and wonderful.... happy healthy very well spoken little boy who is almost 5 i also have an almost 2 year old and me and dh are trying for #3...... and yes my lil boys dad is also my hubby and have been together for over 7 years..... you shouldnt always judge a book by the cover i have met many teenage parents who are fantastic with their children and would do the world for them (apart from 1 or 2 that give all teenage mothers a bad name)

and i also know many older woman who are horrid parents and need to step up and look after their children!!! so before u start about teenages i would look around and see that not ever1 who is older is the best choice for perents!!!

This is a support site and that includes pregnant teens who probably were using contraception and it failed.

Have a bit of tact with your "opinions". You might not care about who you offend but for those of us who help out running the site, we do care.
Step off your soapbox with your teen parent stereotype and take a good look at the older parents that can be bad ones too.

I'm not saying its ALL young Mum's but there are a lot of them.

In the UK there are lots of teenagers who will get pregnant to get some form of social housing so they can move out of home. It really does happen.

Because I am NEVER confrontational on forums (and I belong to quite a few!) it annoys me that the one time I say something even the slightest bit controversial it doesn't get taken the way it was intended. So I have to stick up for myself when my words get twisted (which I believe you have done, Tasha).

My post (which I've quoted) clearly says "I'm not saying its ALL young Mum's but there are a lot of them". I also said "In the UK there are lots of teenagers"...... I didn't say ALL teenagers.

Thank you.
