Really long heavy period cos havent had one in 6months????

Well as it says i am having a mega heavy period which started on the 21st with heavy spotting with clots and then on the tuesday its really heavy to the point (tmi) i can feel it coming down with clots It seems to be heaviest in the morning and then after my bath at night!! Is that a drop in levels or something???
Also i havent had a period since Jan 14 so would this be a reason why its soooo heavy?

xx

my periods can b irregular and i find that if i miss a month then i get a really heavy period so maybe it could be cos you have gone so long without a period
mine r really bad i can feel all the clots coming out (sorry if its tmi) and everytime i move it all gushes out
have you been to your docs about this as they should be able to offer you the best advice for yourself

my last cycle was 80 days so a bit under 3 months and my period is actually really quite light so im not sure if that would be the reason, i was expecting it to be heavy but its not

I have moved areas and havent got a doctor yet i have pcos and my old doc said its quite normal to bleed heavy every so often. I think its a build up of estrogen and eventually you have a period so that might explain the heavy clots? I get confused easily
My OH says what do you expect you havent had a period for a long time i just wanted to whoop his ass hehe!

Me too!

Your problem is nearly identical to mine. I went off the Pill in November 2010. I had no period for several months, then a short one in March following a dosage of Provera and then nothing again since. About two weeks ago, I had very light spotting. We crossed our fingers that it was implantation bleeding - though we doubted since I am not at all regular. Of course, it was negative. Spotting continued irregularly for two weeks. On Sunday the 31st, a full blown period arrived with cramps and clots and the whole works. Lots and lots of blood and huge clots (sorry if TMI). I feel fine otherwise, but it is very aggravating to have to change a pad every hour or two...not mention messy. I do have PCOS and am hoping this explains it and that it will slow in time. I was thrilled to get a period naturally after this long off the Pill, but really wish it wasn't like this! Guess I will have to call OBGYN in a day or two if it doesn't stop. Any advice is welcome!

I would assume that's why your period is so heavy. I don't recommend you taking a bath if your period is this heavy. It's only making the flow heavier and more frequent.
