Evaps?

What do evaps look like?

I took a HPT today, set the test down.. came back some time later and BFP! !

It was a dark, definite BFP too.

I don't know exactly how long since setting test down to coming back - less than an hour.

I know it says to disregard results after 10 mins.

My point is, I've peed on these HPTs before and after 10 mins, still have gotten no lines.. they just stay blank.

Then everything I've read online, says evaps are "gray" or an "indent" or whatever, this one is definitely pink, definitely a line.

The second test I took, 4 hours later, is negative.

I'm all excited but I'm wondering if I jumped the gun in telling everyone the big news.

It sounds like a BFP to me.
I haven't heard anything about dark pink evaps ever, but I might have missed something.
Try again with FMU in another couple of days, maybe with a FRER ?

Here is the thing: you don't know WHEN the line showed up because you walked away and didn't come back until almost an hour later. So it really could be a true BFP and showed up before 10 mins was up but you walked away so you didn't see it develop. However, with that being said, I've had evaps that LOOKED pink until I took it out of the casing, turned it around and realized it was an indent. It just looks like it has color when it's inside the casing. That's why I always remove it. If there is still a line when you turn it around and it has color, then more than likely it's a true BFP. You tested again and it was a BFN? Try again with FMU. Good luck!

Just pop the case open. Yes, it may require some biting on the end of the test to pop it open lol.

When you turn it around how? Looking at it upside down? Or like, from the back? I'm still trying to determine if my first is a BFP or was an evap.

It has a color if I turn it around and look at it as if "upside down" but if I look at the back of it, nothing.. not even the control line is there.

Pic of 2nd BFP.

Hm maybe because it's a $ test. You won't really be able to see anything from the back. I'm going to play with your test and respond.

Ok, I enlarged the picture and it looks like a true BFP but it just seems as though the dye kinda got stuck there lol. Can you retest? The reason it looks like a BFP though is because the line is pink and solid. The dye is just around it. But the background is white.
