B6 and PCOS

I posted this in the TTC conceive the first one but I wanted to ask here too.

I am 27 and my husband and I have been trying to conceive for 1 year, 2 in Jan out first. I have PCOS and have never gotten regular periods. But recently in the last 5 months I have suddenly started getting regular periods. They are not super heavy and can stop and start but they are coming pretty regularly and lasting for about a week.

I recently heard about B6 vitamin helping women with PCOS and other fertility problems. I actually bought some B6 100 mg because I saw them on sale. But before I take them I want to know other women's opinions on them.

I read that not only could they help my fertility but they could help even out my hormones.

Have you tried them? What mg are you taking? Have you heard it working?

Amanda

Hello there!

I m followed by a High risk pregnancy doctor. She is top in what she is doing and very respected in the medical field here in Canada. If it wasnt for her I wouldnt never be pregnant. (pcos as well )
She has given me

B6 25mg once a day
B12 25mg once a day
Prenatal vitamins one pill a day + extra folic acid (for me is 5mg in total once a day)
Metformin prescreption pills for PCOS 500mg 2 times a day
Healthy eating (No sugars + white carbs)

Please check with your doctor
Good luck!!

Hi Gdane
What is vitex?
Hey sorry, forgot to check back in here. It's also known as Chasteberry or Agnus castus. It's a natural herb that stimulates your pituitary gland which in turn regulates horomones.
