Just wondering if anyone has/had a belly button ring and what you did during pregnancy?
Did you take it out?
Use a different ring?
Some people have said that I should take mine out in advance- before getting pregnant- so it has time to heal and maybe wont scar as bad.
Others have said to use a plastic ring instead that will move as you grow.
Some have had horrible scaring and others none.
Anyone have any experience with this? It's summer and I wear a bathing suit alot and if I take my ring out (I love my belly button ring and I'm tiny so it I think it looks really good on me) then people will ask why I did and we're not telling anyone that we're trying...
I had a special plastic one during my first pregnancy, which i wore almost to the end. I took it out a couple of weeks before I had ds because when my belly button popped out, I found it uncomfortable. Afterwards I put it back in very easily. I do have a couple of stretch marks by my belly button tho!
Hee, I have a belly button ring and I never even thought about what would happen to it when I became pregnant. Thanks for this thread!
My belly button ring has been in for more than 17 years. It might be time to let it go! I'm not running around in a bikini or anything, lol.
