I am new to this site and to the ttc community.
Not sure if I should post this here or not....so.....
This cycle would be the first official month we have tried.
I have some strange news and wanted to see if anyone has heard of this before!
Today, 18 dpo. AF is now four days late...I have taken several hpt's since the day af was to show up, they all have been negative. With disappointment I just figured we would try again next month.
I had been having a few dull nagging pains on my right side, felt as though it was near my ovary. A little concerned I called the doc and was told to come in for an ultrasound because there might be a possiblity of a cyst. Went yesterday for the ultrasound, there was no cyst found, however there appears to be a 4 week gestational sac.
They did not do a blood test (the urine test was negative) and told me to come back next week for a blood test and another ultrasound : / I was basically told it is just entirely to early to know for sure what is going on.
At four weeks, the sac can still be empty, as in, nothing in particular could be seen in it. They should have done a blood test, but for now, the best thing you can do is to wait it out. It still might not be a blighted ovum (aka empty sac).
I guess we just have to stay positive...Could be the real deal or not.
Yes, they should have done a blood test, but I assume they were running off the assumption that since I am not peeing positive then they probably should just give it time and see what happens.
I have found nothing on the internet as far as a present gestational sac but with NO hcg detectible in urine (as I'm not sure it is in my blood yet)!
I can not help but worry...I do know though that if it doesn't worrk out we can at least have fun while we try again : )
