How soon after ovulation did you get your BFP?

My cycle is 27 days, but a few times a year it will be 30. So I either will get my period in a week or a week and 3 days lol.

Well... I had a pregnancy test on hand, so I just took it lol. I dont know why. I guess to be honest is because my uterus and that whole area feels very cool and menty lol. Like I have vics vapor rub in there. LOL. That is the best way I can describe it. Also some cramps, mild, but there.

I never have noticed this before at this time. I may not have been paying that much attention before because I wasnt TTC, but I think I would have noticed it.

So yeah I went and took a test about 15 minutes ago and it was negative. So I figure I am out, because I think it just would have showed up. I have heard of false negatives, but it really seriously doesnt happed that often from what I know. Im sad lol. But I wasnt expecting to get pregnant my first try. Now I just want my period to come and get it over with. Really.

But anyways out of curiosity, how early did you get your positive? I dont know exactly when I O, so I cant say for sure how many days past ovuation I am, I can only say my period is suppose to come in a week lol.

Thanks, lady bugs

A bfn is very upsetting, even if you know your testing really early, just to see it isnt very nice when all you want is that bfp! But you said af isnt due for another week, or maybe even a week and 3 days, which does mean that its still very early! It sounds like you are due on around the same time as me, im due on the 25th/26th. In that case its def too early your not out yet! xx

It sure is! Om actually probaby more sad than I'm acting. But I just kinda knew it would be because I have been NTNP for like 10 months$ I figure I should have probably gotten pregnant that at least one of those months, but since I didn't I feel like there is something wrong. This is my first month trying and I'm already going crazy. Then I see like all these other women on here who have been trying for so lonf and I think to myself 'why should I be any different? I'm not special'. I just know its gonna take me forever to have a baby, I just know it! Its sad. This sucks.

With NTNP you most likely dont know when you ovulated, and as there are only a few days in a cycle for you to get pregnant, you may have just been having sex on the wrong days! Me and my partner have been trying for 7 months. 5 of those knowing when i ovulated. Its driving me insane, but its not actually uncommon for it to take a while. You just hear of unplanned pregnancys more often, but thats prob because most ppl that are ttc dont tell anyone they are trying or how long it took! I read the other day there is only a 25% chance of concieving in a month, and thats based on a young healthy couple with no fertility problems having sex at the right time! So its not suprising it takes some of us a long time! Try and relax, easier said than done but try! xx

Its VERY unlikely that even if you are pregnant it would of shown on a test today, If you are due in a week and have a "normal" luteal phase you would only be 7dpo, if your due in 10 days you are only 4dpo. Still plenty of chance there for you, I do the same thing and test early every month too, so I know how you feel. Good Luck! x

Erinsmummy, thank you so much for being so encouraging. I am no going to test early next month at all.. because youre right.. It just casued emotional stress. Thank you for your kind words. I am glad you understand how I feel and glad you are so optimistic. I will definatley keep you posted on the out come, but I do not have my hopes up.

Thank you too, Dazed. All you women are great. But it is interesting to hear just how many women get their BFP early. I still do not understand the LP though. That starts from ovulation, or after?

I definitely think you tested too early! How many DPO do you reckon you are? This has some very interesting facts on the reliability of pregnancy tests at different DPO:

http://www.countdowntopregnancy.com/...-ovulation.php

All of the results included there are of women who did turn out to be pregnant so you can see how many women got false negatives from 1 DPO! xxx

Not sure if this help any of you but here is something...

Implantation does not occur until 6-12 days after ovulation

Sometimes testing @ day 10 can still be too early to get a BFP as it take a while for the implantation then after implantation it take 24hrs before the HCG to be detected ..Don't give up all hope until the witch comes.. When I got pregnant last year I didn't get my BFP til day 14. My implantation bleed didn't happen til day 12 which was a very light pink color so I thought I was out but the light pink stopped a hr later then didn't have nothing more so I tested on day 14.

Good Luck everyone...
